TEHRAN – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force has lauded his forces’ success in boosting the efficiency of Sukhoi Su-22 fighter jets.

In an interview with Tasnim published on Tuesday, Shamsoddin Farzadipoor said while Sukhoi Su-22 can carry up to four tons of arms, the IRGC’s advances in developing smart, pinpoint-hitting weapons have greatly improved the efficiency of the fighter jet.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
